- Before an online Agreement is concluded, these General Terms and Conditions will be made electronically available to the Customer.
- By placing an order, the Customer confirms that they have read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions.
- Any deviation from these Terms and Conditions is valid only when agreed with Guardian Goalie World in writing or electronically.
- Any general terms and conditions used by a Business Customer are expressly rejected unless Guardian Goalie World has accepted them in writing.
- If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or voidable, the remaining provisions will remain fully effective. Guardian Goalie World and the Customer will replace the relevant provision with a valid provision that reflects the purpose and intention of the original provision as closely as possible.
- Consumers will always retain their mandatory statutory consumer rights. These Terms and Conditions do not restrict those rights.
Article 4 – The Offer
- Guardian Goalie World will describe the offered Products as fully and accurately as reasonably possible.
- Images, colours, dimensions and product descriptions are intended to provide the best possible representation of the Product.
- Minor differences in colour, finish, weight, structure, gloss, printing or size may occur due to factors such as screen settings, production processes and the use of natural or composite materials.
- Obvious errors, typing mistakes, technical errors and clear pricing errors are not binding on Guardian Goalie World.
- An offer remains valid while stocks last or during the period stated in the offer.
- Guardian Goalie World may impose conditions on promotions, discount codes, free Products and temporary offers.
- Discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash and may only be combined when this is expressly stated.
Article 5 – Formation of the Agreement
- The Agreement is formed once the Customer has placed an order, fulfilled the payment obligation or selected an available payment method, and Guardian Goalie World has electronically confirmed the order.
- Guardian Goalie World may refuse an order or impose additional conditions where there is a justified reason, including:
a. an obvious pricing or product error;
b. suspected fraud or misuse;
c. payment problems;
d. insufficient stock;
e. an incomplete or incorrect delivery address.
- If Guardian Goalie World does not accept an order, any payment already received will be refunded as soon as reasonably possible.
- The Customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete contact, order and delivery information.
- The Customer must report any errors in the order immediately after receiving the order confirmation.
Article 6 – Prices
- All Consumer prices are stated in euros and include VAT, unless expressly stated otherwise.
- Shipping costs and any additional charges will be clearly shown before the order is completed.
- Prices for Business Customers may be displayed excluding VAT where this is clearly indicated.
- Guardian Goalie World may change its prices. A price change will not affect an Agreement that has already been concluded.
- In the event of an obvious pricing error that the Customer should reasonably have recognised, Guardian Goalie World may cancel the order. The Customer will be informed and any amount paid will be refunded.
- Import duties, local taxes and customs charges relating to deliveries outside the European Union are payable by the Customer unless agreed otherwise.
Article 7 – Payment
- Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered in the Webshop.
- Guardian Goalie World may require full or partial advance payment.
- The Customer must immediately report any errors in payment details provided or displayed.
- If a payment is reversed, refused or not received on time, Guardian Goalie World may suspend performance of the order.
- A Consumer who fails to pay on time after receiving a payment reminder may owe statutory interest and extrajudicial collection costs. Guardian Goalie World will apply the statutory rules for Consumers.
- A Business Customer who fails to pay on time will be in default immediately and will owe statutory commercial interest and reasonable collection costs.
Article 8 – Delivery
- Guardian Goalie World will deliver to the address provided by the Customer when placing the order.
- Stated delivery times are estimates unless a fixed delivery date has expressly been agreed.
- Where no delivery period has been agreed, the order will generally be delivered within the applicable statutory period.
- The Customer will be informed as soon as reasonably possible in the event of a delay.
- If delivery within the agreed period is not possible, the Consumer will, where required, provide Guardian Goalie World with an additional reasonable period for delivery.
- The Consumer may terminate the Agreement if Guardian Goalie World also fails to deliver within an applicable additional period, or if delivery on a specific date was essential and this was clearly communicated to Guardian Goalie World in advance.
- The risk of damage to or loss of a Consumer order passes to the Consumer when the Consumer, or a third party designated by the Consumer, receives the Product.
- For Business Customers, the risk passes when Guardian Goalie World transfers the Product to the carrier, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- If an order is returned due to incorrect address details, failure to collect the parcel or another reason attributable to the Customer, Guardian Goalie World may charge the reasonable costs of reshipping the order.
- Where possible, the Customer should report visible damage to a parcel to the carrier upon delivery and notify Guardian Goalie World as soon as possible.
Article 9 – Partial Deliveries
- Guardian Goalie World may deliver an order in separate parts where this is reasonably necessary.
- No additional shipping costs will be charged for a partial delivery unless agreed with the Customer in advance.
- If part of an order is unavailable, Guardian Goalie World may cancel that part and refund the amount paid for it.
Article 10 – Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
- A Consumer may withdraw from an online Agreement for a standard Product within fourteen days without giving a reason.
- The withdrawal period begins on the day after:
a. the Consumer, or a third party designated by the Consumer, receives the Product;
b. in the case of multiple Products ordered together but delivered separately, the last Product is received;
c. in the case of a Product consisting of several parts, the final part is received.
- The Consumer may withdraw from the Agreement before the end of the withdrawal period by:
a. using the model withdrawal form; or
b. sending another clear statement by email or in writing to Guardian Goalie World.
- It is sufficient for the Consumer to send the withdrawal notice before the withdrawal period expires.
- Guardian Goalie World will confirm receipt of an electronically submitted withdrawal notice as soon as possible.
- Following withdrawal, the Consumer has a further fourteen days in which to return the Product.
- The Consumer bears the direct cost of returning the Product unless:
a. Guardian Goalie World has agreed to bear those costs;
b. the wrong Product was supplied;
c. the Product was damaged or defective upon delivery;
d. mandatory law provides otherwise.
- The risk of the return shipment remains with the Consumer until Guardian Goalie World has received the Product. The Consumer is advised to retain proof of postage.
- Returns must be sent to:
Guardian Goalie World – Returns
Gijsbrecht van Amstelstraat 213
1214BA Hilversum
The Netherlands
- The statutory right of withdrawal does not automatically apply to purchases made exclusively in a physical store.
Article 11 – Refunds Following Withdrawal
- Following a valid withdrawal, Guardian Goalie World will refund all payments received from the Consumer for the withdrawn part of the order.
- If the entire order is withdrawn, the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered will also be refunded.
- Additional costs resulting from the Consumer expressly choosing a more expensive delivery method do not have to be refunded.
- The refund will be made no later than fourteen days after Guardian Goalie World receives the withdrawal notice.
- Guardian Goalie World may withhold the refund until:
a. the returned Product has been received; or
b. the Consumer has provided proof that the Product has been returned,
whichever occurs first.
- Guardian Goalie World will use the same payment method used by the Consumer unless another method is agreed.
- No fees will be charged for the refund.
Article 12 – Condition of Returned Products
- During the withdrawal period, the Consumer may inspect and assess the Product in the same way as would reasonably be possible in a physical store.
- The Consumer must handle the Product and its packaging carefully.
- For hockey sticks, this means that the stick may be inspected indoors, held and carefully assessed for size and balance.
- Intensive use, playing or training with the stick, striking balls, applying a grip, tape or stickers, removing protective film or causing damage goes beyond what is necessary to assess the Product.
- Clothing may be tried on but must not be intensively worn, washed, soiled or damaged.
- The Consumer is only liable for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the Product.
- Guardian Goalie World may deduct a demonstrable reduction in value from the amount to be refunded.
- Missing or damaged original packaging does not automatically result in the loss of the right of withdrawal. However, a demonstrable reduction in value may be charged where the damage exceeds what is necessary for normal inspection of the Product.
Article 13 – Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
- The statutory right of withdrawal may be excluded for Products that:
a. are made according to the Consumer’s specifications;
b. are not prefabricated and are manufactured on the basis of an individual choice or decision by the Consumer;
c. are clearly intended for a specific individual.
- This may include:
a. shirts or clothing printed with a name, number or personal text supplied by the Customer;
b. specially produced clothing sizes or colour combinations that are not part of the standard range;
c. personalised sticks;
d. Products with individual printing, engraving or another permanent modification.
- Guardian Goalie World will clearly state before purchase when a Product is considered a Customised Product and the right of withdrawal is therefore excluded.
- Only the personalised or customised part of an order is excluded from withdrawal. A standard Product included in the same order remains subject to withdrawal where no other statutory exception applies.
- Exclusion of the right of withdrawal never limits the Consumer’s statutory rights where the Customised Product has been supplied incorrectly, damaged or defective.
- A Product is not considered customised solely because the Customer has selected from normal standard options, such as a standard size or colour.
Article 14 – Free Goalkeeper Clothing and Promotional Products
- If free goalkeeper clothing, a grip, accessory or another promotional Product is offered with the purchase of a stick, that free Product forms part of the relevant promotion or bundle offer.
- The terms and validity period of the promotion will be stated with the offer.
- If the Consumer withdraws from the entire purchase, the related free Products must also be returned.
- If a free Product is not returned, Guardian Goalie World may deduct its previously disclosed retail value or objective value, to the extent permitted by law.
- If free goalkeeper clothing is printed with a personal name or text at the Customer’s request, a statutory exception to the right of withdrawal may apply to that personalised item.
- Personalisation of a free Product does not automatically restrict the right of withdrawal for a separate standard Product. Guardian Goalie World will therefore assess each return per Product and in accordance with applicable law.
- A promotional Product carries the same statutory conformity rights as any other supplied Product.
Article 15 – Cancellation Before Dispatch
- A Customer may request cancellation of an order as long as the order has not yet been dispatched and production or personalisation has not started.
- Guardian Goalie World will attempt to process cancellation requests as quickly as possible but cannot guarantee that an order can still be stopped.
- A customised order cannot be cancelled free of charge once production, printing or personalisation has begun.
- This Article does not affect the statutory right of withdrawal for Products to which that right applies.
Article 16 – Customisation and Personalisation
- The Customer is responsible for correctly providing names, numbers, sizes, colours, capitalisation and other personalisation details.
- The Customer must carefully check all entered information before completing the order.
- Guardian Goalie World is not responsible for errors directly resulting from incorrect information supplied by the Customer.
- If Guardian Goalie World makes an error in the personalisation, Guardian Goalie World will repair or replace the Product free of charge.
- Personalised goalkeeper clothing has an expected delivery time of approximately ten working days unless a different period is stated when ordering.
- A stated delivery time for customised Products is an estimate and not a guaranteed final delivery date unless expressly agreed.
- Minor differences in the position, size, colour or texture of printing that fall within normal production tolerances do not constitute a defect.
- The Customer warrants that any names, texts, images and logos supplied do not infringe the rights of third parties.
- Any additional costs resulting from changes requested by the Customer after approval or the start of production may be charged to the Customer.
Article 17 – Product Use and Maintenance
- The Customer must use the Products in accordance with their normal intended purpose and any applicable use and maintenance instructions.
- Goalkeeper sticks and hockey sticks are sporting goods and may show scratches, wear and other signs of normal use.
- Normal wear, cosmetic damage caused by use, damage resulting from contact with the pitch, boards, goalposts or other sticks, and wear to grips are not automatically covered by warranty.
- Before each use, the Customer must check whether a stick or other protective sports Product is safe and undamaged.
- A visibly cracked, broken or structurally damaged stick must not be used.
- Clothing must be washed and maintained in accordance with the instructions on the care label.
- Damage resulting from incorrect washing, drying, ironing, bleaching, dry cleaning or other improper maintenance is not covered by warranty.
- Product information and marketing statements are not a substitute for training, protective equipment, safety instructions or professional sports advice.
- No sporting Product can guarantee that a user will not suffer an injury.
Article 18 – Statutory Warranty and Conformity
- Guardian Goalie World guarantees that a Product will comply with the Agreement upon delivery and will have the characteristics that the Customer may reasonably expect.
- The Consumer is entitled to a conforming and properly functioning Product. These statutory rights are not restricted by any commercial warranty.
- If a Product is defective, the Consumer may, depending on the circumstances, be entitled to free repair or replacement.
- If repair or replacement is impossible, does not take place within a reasonable period or cannot reasonably be required of the Consumer, the Consumer may, subject to the applicable legal requirements, be entitled to a price reduction or termination of the Agreement.
- What a Consumer may reasonably expect from a Product depends on factors including:
a. the nature and price of the Product;
b. the product description;
c. normal intensity of use;
d. the age of the Product;
e. how the Product has been used and maintained.
- Dutch law does not provide one fixed general statutory warranty period for every type of Product. A Product must last for as long as the Consumer may reasonably expect under normal use.
- Warranty does not apply to damage caused by:
a. incorrect, abnormal or improper use;
b. an accident, fall, collision or external force;
c. normal wear and tear;
d. inadequate maintenance;
e. repairs or modifications carried out by the Customer or a third party;
f. use contrary to instructions;
g. damage caused by the Customer or a third party after delivery.
- A commercial warranty or additional service does not affect the Consumer’s statutory rights.
Article 19 – Complaints and Warranty Claims
- Complaints may be submitted to keeper@guardiangoalieworld.com.
- Where possible, the Customer should include:
a. their name and contact details;
b. the order number;
c. the purchase date;
d. a clear description of the problem;
e. clear photographs or videos;
f. information about the use of the Product and when the issue occurred.
- Guardian Goalie World will confirm receipt of a complaint and will generally respond within fourteen days.
- If more time is required for investigation, the Customer will receive an indication of the further handling process within fourteen days.
- The Customer must give Guardian Goalie World a reasonable opportunity to inspect the Product.
- A Consumer must report a discovered defect within a reasonable period. A report made within two months after discovery will in any event be considered timely.
- Submission of a complaint only suspends a payment obligation to the extent permitted by law.
- Return shipping costs for a valid warranty claim will be borne by Guardian Goalie World.
- If an investigation shows that there is no defect for which Guardian Goalie World is responsible, return or inspection costs may only be charged where this was clearly agreed with the Customer in advance and is permitted by law.
Article 20 – Repair and Replacement
- Guardian Goalie World will determine the appropriate statutory remedy in consultation with the Consumer.
- A Consumer may not arrange repairs through a third party without prior consultation and automatically charge the costs to Guardian Goalie World.
- A replacement Product does not have to be the exact same colour or version if the original Product is no longer available. Guardian Goalie World will offer an equivalent alternative.
- In the event of replacement, Guardian Goalie World may require the defective Product to be returned.
- Reasonable shipping costs relating to the repair or replacement of a validly defective Product will be borne by Guardian Goalie World.
- If a defect can be repaired easily and without significant inconvenience to the Consumer, Guardian Goalie World may generally offer repair first.
Article 21 – Retention of Title
- All supplied Products remain the property of Guardian Goalie World until the Customer has paid all amounts due under the relevant Agreement in full.
- Until ownership has passed, the Customer may not pledge, resell or provide the Product as security to a third party.
- The transfer of risk for a Consumer order takes place in accordance with Article 8 and is separate from retention of title.
Article 22 – Liability
- Guardian Goalie World is liable for damage that is the direct result of an attributable failure by Guardian Goalie World.
- Guardian Goalie World is not liable for damage caused by:
a. incorrect or improper use of the Product;
b. failure to follow safety, use or maintenance instructions;
c. incorrect information supplied by the Customer;
d. modifications or repairs carried out by the Customer or third parties;
e. normal risks associated with hockey and other sporting activities.
- For Business Customers, Guardian Goalie World’ liability is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to the amount paid under its liability insurance.
- If no insurance payment is made, liability towards a Business Customer is limited to the invoice amount of the Agreement to which the damage relates.
- Guardian Goalie World is not liable towards Business Customers for indirect loss, consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of turnover, missed savings, reputational damage or business interruption.
- These limitations do not apply where the damage results from intent or deliberate recklessness by Guardian Goalie World or its management.
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable liability for personal injury, death or defective Products.
Article 23 – Force Majeure
- Guardian Goalie World is not required to perform an Agreement for as long as performance is impossible or unreasonably burdensome due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
- Force majeure may include:
a. natural disasters and extreme weather;
b. war, terrorism, riots or government measures;
c. epidemics or pandemics;
d. fire, flooding or power failures;
e. strikes;
f. transport problems;
g. disruptions affecting carriers, payment providers or hosting providers;
h. unexpected production problems;
i. failures or shortages affecting suppliers that Guardian Goalie World could not reasonably have prevented.
- Guardian Goalie World will inform the Customer of a relevant force majeure situation as soon as reasonably possible.
- In the event of temporary force majeure, the obligations of the parties will be suspended.
- If performance becomes permanently impossible or the force majeure situation continues for an unreasonable period, either party may terminate the unperformed part of the Agreement.
- Amounts already paid for Products that will no longer be supplied will be refunded.
- A Consumer will always retain the rights granted by mandatory law.
Article 24 – Intellectual Property Rights
- All brand names, logos, product designs, images, texts, graphic designs and other Guardian Goalie World content are protected by intellectual property rights.
- These materials may not be copied, modified, published, manufactured or used commercially without prior written permission.
- The purchase of a Product does not transfer any intellectual property rights to the Customer.
- Business Customers may not copy or arrange for the copying of Guardian Goalie World Products, packaging or marketing materials.
- The Customer may use photographs of purchased Products for normal personal and non-commercial purposes, provided this does not create a false impression of a partnership or sponsorship.
Article 25 – Reviews and Customer-Submitted Content
- If a Customer provides a review, photograph or other content to Guardian Goalie World, the Customer remains responsible for that content.
- The Customer warrants that the submitted content does not infringe third-party rights and is not unlawful, offensive or misleading.
- Guardian Goalie World may moderate reviews that are demonstrably fake, unlawful, offensive or not based on a genuine experience.
- Guardian Goalie World will only publish or use recognisable photographs of Customers where it has appropriate consent or another valid legal basis.
- Consent for commercial use of Customer photographs will, where necessary, be recorded separately.
Article 26 – Privacy
- Guardian Goalie World processes personal data in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
- The Guardian Goalie World privacy policy explains, among other matters, which data is processed, for what purposes, how long it is retained and which rights individuals have.
- The Customer is responsible for the accuracy of the personal data provided.
- Guardian Goalie World will not use personal data for purposes other than those permitted under the privacy policy, consent or another valid legal basis.
Article 27 – Business Customers

- A Business Customer must inspect a delivery as soon as reasonably possible after receipt.
- Visible defects or incorrect deliveries must be reported in writing by a Business Customer within seven days of receipt.
- Hidden defects must be reported in writing within seven days after discovery.
- A Business Customer may not offset or suspend payment unless the counterclaim has been accepted in writing by Guardian Goalie World or has been irrevocably established.
- Any recommended resale prices provided by Guardian Goalie World are non-binding.
- The Business Customer is responsible for complying with local regulations when reselling Products outside the Netherlands.
- Specific provisions in a written distribution, dealer or cooperation agreement take precedence over these General Terms and Conditions.
Article 28 – Amendments to the Terms and Conditions
- Guardian Goalie World may amend these General Terms and Conditions.
- An order is governed by the version that applied at the time the Agreement was concluded.
- Amendments will not apply retrospectively to the detriment of the Consumer.
- The current version will be published on the website.
- For continuing Agreements, significant amendments will be communicated to the Customer in advance where required by law.
Article 29 – Complaints, Disputes and Applicable Law
- Agreements with Guardian Goalie World are governed by Dutch law.
- The choice of Dutch law does not deprive a Consumer living in another country of the protection provided by mandatory consumer laws applicable in that country.
- The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute through mutual consultation.
- A complaint may be submitted via keeper@guardiangoalieworld.com.
- If no solution is reached, the dispute may be submitted to the competent court.
- A Consumer may submit a dispute to the court that has jurisdiction under the applicable statutory jurisdiction rules.
- For business disputes, the court in the district where Guardian Goalie World is established will have jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law.
- If Guardian Goalie World is affiliated with a recognised dispute resolution body, its name and contact details will be stated on the website.
